On behalf of our pupils, staff and governors, I would like to welcome you and your family to St Thomas of Canterbury School.
We are a nurturing, half form entry Catholic Primary School in rural Puckeridge, East Hertfordshire. We strive to provide the best possible education in a caring, Christian environment.

Exciting things are happening at St Thomas'! We are delighted to share that St Thomas of Canterbury has successfully secured funding through the Government's Condition Improvement Fund (CIF), a programme that supports essential maintenance and improvement projects in eligible schools and sixth-form colleges. This funding will enable us to carry out a much-needed upgrade to our boiler and heating system, helping to ensure that our school remains a warm, comfortable and welcoming environment for all our children and staff for years to come. That's not all! Thanks to the incredible support of our PTA and funding from a local charity, work will begin next week to transform the currently unused space behind the curtain in our hall into a purposeful sensory and intervention space. This exciting new area will provide a calm, supportive environment where children can access tailored interventions, nurture and additional support to help them thrive both academically and emotionally. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has contributed to these projects. Through successful funding bids, charitable support and the dedication of our school community, we are continuing to invest in our facilities and create the very best opportunities for our children. Watch this space for updates as these exciting developments take shape! #StThomasOfCanterbury #StFrancisTrust #SchoolImprovement #InvestingInOurFuture #communitysupport

Today, three representatives from St Thomas' took part in the Trust Speak Out Challenge. All three children did an incredible job and made us immensely proud. While we sadly missed out on bringing home a trophy this year, they represented our school with confidence, clarity and courage. The standard of competition was exceptionally high, and every child from every school spoke brilliantly. It was inspiring to see so many young people sharing their voices so powerfully. A huge well done to our speakers for their hard work, determination and outstanding performances. We are so proud of you! #TrustSpeakOutChallenge #ProudToBeStThomas #StudentVoice #ConfidenceClarityCourage

We've had some very special visitors in our early years area... a little family of blue tits has made a home in one of our bird boxes! The children have been so excited watching nature up close. They've been painting beautiful blue tits, creating signs, and learning all about our feathered friends. They also noticed something very important our school uniform colours are the same as the blue tit's colours! The children said that's why the birds must feel so happy and welcome here in our playground, and we couldn't agree more. We love seeing curiosity, creativity, and kindness towards nature grow together every day. #BlueTitFamily #OutdoorLearning #NatureInThePlayground #CuriousMinds #eyfs
