At St Thomas' Catholic Primary School, we recognise that parents and carers are the first educators of their children. We value the strong partnership between home and school and believe that open communication is essential in supporting every child's personal, social and emotional development.

The Department for Education has introduced revised statutory guidance for Relationships Education, Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and Health Education, which comes into effect from 1 September 2026. As a result, we have reviewed and updated our RSE Policy to ensure it reflects these new statutory requirements while remaining firmly rooted in our Catholic ethos and values.

We are now inviting parents and carers to read the draft policy and share any comments or feedback as part of our consultation process. Your views are important to us and will be carefully considered before the policy is finalised and approved by the Governing Board.
