St Thomas of Canterbury is proud to celebrate the success of its pupils in the Junior Duke Award, a programme that encourages independence, resilience and the development of practical life skills.
St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Primary School is welcoming applications for its Nursery class, offering children a nurturing and inspiring start to their learning journey within a caring Catholic environment. The school welcomes families of all faiths and none, providing a supportive community where every child is encouraged to flourish academically, socially, and spiritually.
The Year 6 Thomas Tigers team won the Hertford and Ware School Sports Partnership District Football Tournament in March, conceding only one goal throughout the competition. Their teamwork, effort, and sportsmanship made them a credit to both their school and the Trust.
St Thomas of Canterbury celebrated World Book Day with a special ‘Breakfast with a Book’ event. Many pupils arrived early to enjoy breakfast and share their favourite stories.



Year 3/4 pupils at St Thomas of Canterbury in Puckeridge recently enjoyed an exciting Egyptian Workshop Day led by the organisation History Off the Page.
Pupils from Year 1 to 6 at St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Primary School in Puckeridge enjoyed an exciting Lego workshop packed with creative challenges and hands-on learning.
At St Thomas of Canterbury Catholic Primary School, the Eco Council, led by passionate pupils, is helping the school become more environmentally friendly while encouraging care for God’s creation. They organise regular litter picks on school grounds and in the local area, keeping the environment clean and safe. Following a successful non-uniform day fundraiser, the school has introduced new recycling bins to improve waste separation and reduce landfill.
We have been practising "still life" by drawing fruit in our art sessions.


We have been learning about the Stone Age and created cave drawings. We are looking forward to our school trip to Celtic Harmony very soon!


In science we have been discovering what plants need to stay healthy. We have observed seeds germinating and have planted our own bulbs in the school garden which will hopefully have the right conditions to germinate and grow into healthy flowers. We used some wonderful tools to help us plant.
We have enjoyed the story of "The Hungry Caterpillar" and have recreated a delicious meal for him.
