I am privileged and proud to be the Headteacher of St Thomas of Canterbury School and am delighted to welcome you to our website.
We are an outstanding, small, rural Voluntary Aided Catholic School in Puckeridge, East Hertfordshire. The school currently has 117 pupils on roll, with four mixed year classes (Nursery & Reception, Year 1 & 2, Year 3 & 4 and Year 5 & 6).
We welcome both Catholic and non-Catholic children from 3 years of age into our friendly school community. We aim to ensure equality for all, enabling children to reach their potential whilst in our school. Our vision remains rooted in our mission statement: “We learn, love, respect and accept our responsibilities through our faith in Jesus Christ”. We have core aims and values which focus on high expectations for all learners, developing skills for life, encouraging good self-esteem and establishing a set of core moral values.
We recognise here at St Thomas’ that a positive partnership experience with our parents/carers is essential and makes a significant contribution to a better understanding of all children, their learning needs and interests.
We look forward to welcoming you at our school. Please contact our school secretary to arrange an introductory visit and I will be happy to show you around.
We operate a Safer Recruitment process for all staff and volunteers
